The Big Agnes C Bar 2 is a highly regarded tent among outdoor enthusiasts for its spacious interior, durability, and exceptional performance. If you're considering purchasing this tent, it's essential to hear what real users have to say about their experiences. In this article, we'll dive into some authentic buyer reviews to help you make an informed decision. Whether you're a seasoned camper or a beginner, these reviews will provide valuable insights into the Big Agnes C Bar 2.

1.Review from Customer "Hotdogh2o":

"I received this tent as a warranty replacement for my old Seedhouse sl-2 that was having some delamination issues (Big Agnes warranties are legit). If you are into ultralight gear this is probably not the best tent for you. However, if you want a tent that is sturdy, can hold up to the weather, and won't break the bank, this is probably the best you will find in this price range. While it is on the heavier side, it is still light enough to backpack with, fits 2 people comfortably, and packs down small."

2.Review from Customer "NorCalPacker":

"This is a great tent for the price. It's not perfect though. The body and fly materials are more rugged than lighter tents, which is probably why they are heavier. The zippers and stitching are higher quality than I expected based on the price. Everything feels high quality and well made, which is what I would expect from Big Agnes tents that cost twice as much. The tradeoffs are significant though and you should definitely factor them in before pulling the trigger. The tent isn't light, and it's bulkier than you'd expect in your pack. The one door is annoying too. And the interior room... Isn't great. At this price point the tent might be considered "light," but they get there by trimming inches. I'm 5'8", 180lbs, my 9 year old son is about 60lbs. The two of us just fit in it but it's a good thing we're related. I figure we have about 3 more years before we grow out of it. Stashing your pack in it while you sleep is tough too. Some odds and ends: the tent stakes out better than any I've used and any price. It's also keeps out the weather better than all others I've used. But condensation can be an issue if you don't keep the breeze in mind when setting it up. Would I buy the tent again? Definitely. The tradeoffs are worth the price and it's very well made. Just make sure it's for you!"

3.Review from Customer "ixi":

"This is a great budget backpacking tent. I used it for 2 years. It's easy and quick to set up thanks to the color-coordinated buckles! The main issue I had with it was the size vs the weight. This is one of the smaller 2-person tents out there and the door is front entry, not side. The footprint is sold separately."

4.Review from Customer "Lucyloo":

"There are probably much better tents out there...
but certainly not at this price. I was looking for a freestanding tent for me and my partner to use for short backpacking trips since right now we only have a tarp set up. We are not serious backpackers so I did not want to spend big bucks, and when I saw this it looked perfect. And it kinda is...light enough for multi-day use, solidly built, easy to set up. I did not however, look at the footprint measurements and it does not fit our double mat. Not the fault of the tent, but as others have mentioned, it is a tight squeeze for two. Was expecting just a little more room. Still, I'll be keeping since anything bigger at the same weight or lighter is 2 or 3 times the price."

5.Review from Customer "Foggy":

"Lightweight, simple set up and comfortable.
We bought this as all our gear got stolen. We didn't get chance to see it before we purchased, but it was a worthwhile risk. It's lightweight, packs down relatively small, is waterproof and warm with good ventilation. Plus the setup is really quick and simple.
I'm 5ft 1in and my husband is 6ft and it was certainly cosy in there, with two larger adults it would be quite a squeeze. We kept our packs outside the tent because it was dry, the vestibule isn't huge, but would fit two packs and boots. It definitely works with two adults, but would be very comfortable with one.
There's 3 pockets to store small items like phone, glasses, headtorch which is useful, and a little place to clip in a lamp at the top.

Unfortunately the footprint is sold separately and wasn't in stock when we purchased the tent, so we use a tarp - cheaper, but adds more weight."

6.Review from Customer "Google Customer Reviews Shopper":

"Great tent for one adult and gear plus dog etc. Or would be a cozy tent for a couple. Very light and seems durable, nice price point. Cons: small vestibule, lacks headroom, front entry vs. side entry(s). A vent would be nice, no footprint included. Overall great tent. Would recommend, especially for price, weight, and spaciousness for a backpacking tent."

7.Review from Customer "FB123":

"Don't know how I did not discover this tent before! One of the best 1 to 2 people tent to (really) use in 3 seasons. I like it has less mesh at the lower wall, so I don't have to sleep with an air current in Colorado fall nighs. Yet, it's very well ventilated. No condensation. It's probably tight for two people but manageable with useful vestibule. The perfect tent for a solo backpacker with a dog. You'll have room for gear without destroying your back and your wallet. The Big Agnes C Bar 2 relatively lightweight, sturdy, and budget-friendly."

8.Review from Customer "Tom G":

"Tent is a recent purchase so I don’t have much experience in the outdoors. Setup is very easy and straightforward. For me, it’s a 1p with room for gear and or dog…maybe a child. Two adults would be possible but tight. I purchased knowing this. I wanted a 1 door/vestibule, great quality, light weight backpacking tent for weekend trips. I’m very happy with purchase. This is my second Big Agnes tent and idk how Moosejaw purchases :)"

9.Review from Customer "Caitlin K":

"Love this tent!
So I was extremely excited when this, my first backpacking tent arrived.
I couldn’t believe how light even the shipping box was!
My first night out with it, there was a crazy heavy Michigan thunderstorm but this little beauty did it’s job. I stayed 100% dry and cozy the whole night.
The netting is fine enough to really protect against the crazy mosquitos we have this summer snd I love the lantern hook, too.
It packs down with the rain fly I bought separately really well and will be no problem to carry in the future.
Can’t wait to get lots of good adventures out of this!"

10.Review from Customer "Dean":

"Lightweight, packs fairly small, good materials, simple setup, just roomy enough. Has basic side pockets, overhead loops for hanging gear and a lamp, easy front access, zips don't seem to snag. Just enough room to sit comfortably. For 2 this tent would be tight, and even for 1 there's barely enough vestibule. The fly picks up a lot of condensation in cool temps, though it's a testament to how waterproof the fly is. Vents well though. It's disappointing that the footprint wasn't available and is on backorder."
