1.Review from Customer "Heavy camper":

"I bought a copper spur back around 2008 and loved this tent. I'd take it camping every month, multiple times a month. The only problem was that the binding on the rain fly became ripped. Since BA has a lifetime guarantee, I sent my tent in for repairs. I was super surprised when they offered to also check the water resistance while they had the tent there - what great service, right? I'd never had a problem with my tent getting wet inside even though I had camped in the rain many times, but I told them to go ahead. They got back to me, telling me that my tent failed the test and they would replace it with a brand new copper spur tent. Sadly, they didn't tell me how different the new one was. I got the new tent and the back vestibule is no longer able to be accessed from inside the tent. I had frequently used the feature where I could put stuff outside and bring it into my tent without having to exit my tent and walk around it. So not having this access anymore was a huge disappointment. They had also redesigned the door to the tent, so it was no longer one continuous zipper. I disliked this new tent - used it once or twice, then stored it. Well, recently I brought it out of storage and used it again and was reminded again of how much I dislike it. It's like it was redesigned by someone who never camps. Used it for a week-long camping trip and then put it back in storage. I'll probably give it to someone who doesn't have a tent. It's better than no tent. It's probably a 2- or 3-star tent, but I'm giving it 1 star because I'm so angry at BA for keeping my old tent that I loved and replacing it with this piece of junk."

2.Review from Customer "Tova":

"I used this tent on a section of the JMT and it help up really well. It's small but just the right size to fit everything I need. It's so easy to set up and take down. The mesh is great for keeping out not only mosquitoes but no-see-ums. I recently reached out to Big Agnes since after several years, the shock cord in the poles had lost their elasticity. They were so quick in responding. I mailed it in and received it back in a timely fashion. I'm really impressed with their customer service."

3.Review from Customer "Walker":

"I went with this because of the side door and I love it, there are some really smart storage pockets and the tent is a breeze to set up. I am not crazy about the stakes but they seem to work well so its not really a complaint, just not what I am used to. Big Agnes was great to deal with in getting me the right tent."

4.Review from Customer "Olav":

"In exactly the same way as the reviews from John and Hotpant, I experienced that the tent pole snapped in the fastening in the middle of the night and poked a hole in the rainfly. This happened on my third trip with the tent, in moderate wind (6-7 m/s). If the tent cannot withstand this amount of wind, it is useless to take on a trip in large parts of Europe. But just as disappointing as the tent was the customer service. It took a long time for you to respond to my first inquiry, and the only thing you offered me was to BUY parts to fix the tent myself. What kind of service is this??? I then replied to this and have now waited almost 2 weeks for a an answer. I have never experienced such bad customer service before. I thought you were a serious company with some integrity in terms of quality. I own several tents from different manufacturers and all of them have been able to deliver. But not Big Agnes... So steer clear og this tent if you're going for something more than a trip on a sunny day in the garden outside your house."

5.Review from Customer "Matt":

"I've been in high winds, rain, and humid weather. This tent keeps me comfortable all the time. Lots of storage, and it's very well made. I'm 6'3 235 lbs, and I don't feel crammed in at all. Great tent!"

6.Review from Customer "JMo":

"As a guide for backpacking trips, the Copper Spur HV UL1 is just what I needed. Lightweight, easy setup and great ventilation even on humid nights here in the Midwest. The pockets and mesh storage were well thought out to maximize the space inside."

7.Review from Customer "Pappy":

"This is a review for an older model, purchased in 2019. I absolutely love this tent and honestly can't think of anything negative about it. Yes, the material is thin, but that's what makes it lightweight. Just be smart about how you use it - put something underneath it for protection (I use Tyvek) and don't be yanking on zippers, etc. I use it for bikepacking and touring and it feels like a luxury item. There is tons of storage inside and plenty of room to sit up and store other things inside the tent. The vestibule is decent size and can fit a decent amount of gear under it. The poles can be packed inside the tent in the main storage sack but it needs to be rolled quite tightly to make that happen. Most of the time I store the poles somewhere else or strap them to the outside of the tent bag."

8.Review from Customer "Kevin":

"Just what I was looking for .... We own the Copper Spur HV UL2 Bikepack, but sometimes there are three of us and we need more room, and sometimes I just go solo. Having a single makes it easy, depending on the need. The Copper Spur product line is easy to set up, even in the dark. Super lightweight with ample room. Love it."

9.Review from Customer "Knife":

"Lighter than my older version of this tent - which served me well over 8 years and hundreds of miles. I like the improved door zipper location - keeping the doors off the floor. What I don't like is the new fly / tent / peg plastic clip setup - it is a really poor design. One of the clips failed where it connects to the webbing loop on the 3rd night. It just appears it was overstressed, supporting the fly, the tension from the poles, and the tent pegs. It would be so much more reliable if there was a grommet in the webbing loop to hold the tent poles, if the tent peg loops had also been tied directly to the webbing, and the plastic clip had been used to only attach the fly to the body of the tent. Hope they fix this in future releases - it really shouldn't be failing on the second use / third night. I had my previous version for 8 years without a single problem. I wouldn't recommend this tent until the clip issue is corrected."

10.Review from Customer "Daddy Long Leggs":

"I have spent a total of 4 nights in this tent and it is decent tent. Being 6'5" talk I was a little skeptical as to weather I would even fit in the thing, but I was pleasantly surprised to find the tent walls are high enough that I don't typical touch the sides. My biggest pet peeve it is sags really bad in rain. But that seems to be par for the course with tents nowadays. While I still love my Dyneema tarps this was a nice additions to the collection when I want some extra comforts."

In summary, the Big Agnes Copper Spur Hv Ul1 impresses with its lightweight design, exceptional weather resistance, and thoughtful features that cater to solo backpackers. Whether you’re navigating rugged mountain trails or enjoying a peaceful night under the stars, the Big Agnes Copper Spur Hv Ul1 offers a combination of comfort and convenience that few tents can match. While it’s clear that the Big Agnes Copper Spur Hv Ul1 is a formidable option, also consider alternatives like POMOLY, which provides innovative gear that can enhance your outdoor adventures. Ultimately, the choice of tent will depend on your specific needs, but the Big Agnes Copper Spur Hv Ul1 definitely deserves a spot on your shortlist.
