1.Review from Customer "Jacob":

"The little tent that couldn't. I'm an experienced tenter. I've owned or used dozens of tents from ultralights to full canvas prospectors to Tupics and everything in between. This tent is my least favorite I've ever used. The tent has zero wind resistance. I had to tie guy lines on every possible place even improvising ties to the door keepers. Then I build rock walls around it too. I had to use my frame pack to prop up the single forward pole from within, as well as using trekking poles to hold up the ends of the vestibule cross pole in order to be sure it would stay up during the day while I was out. I practiced setting this up a few times at home and it was intuitive. The first night I used it, the plastic grommet where the pole is secured to the tent floor at the front snapped off in the middle of the night in a measly 10kmh wind. The tent promptly collapsed on top of us. This was on a ten day trip in the Aishihik Lake region of the Yukon, Canada. The remaining nine days we had to Jerry rig that single forward pole to stay in place with rocks and ties so the tent would stand up at all. We did get it staked out nice and tight because we had lots of rocks as anchors available. When it rains the top of the tent pools water instead of draining it off. It's got two puddles right above the vestibules waiting to drench you when you step out the vestibule. All the premium brands are using anti snag zippers. We have anti snag zippers on our sleeping bags, but this fake-premium tent has the cheapest most snaggy zippers I've seen, even worse than a Canadian Tire cheap tent zipper. The door keepers have strange geometry so there's always an annoying flap of loose door screen ready to catch in the zipper of the fly. The semi-free standing design is a good idea but poorly made. The front corners have different length stakeout lines than the footprint and the fly, which means you need as much as three stakes or tie-points for each of the two front corners. That's way too much time spent tying and staking, there's not even enough stakes provided to do that. The poles are very flexible that is a positive aspect- even when the tent was blown completely flat the poles somehow didn't break they are so easy to bend they can't break but they are also barely strong enough to hold up the tent. The material is nice, it's super thin and it was waterproof. However it looks like a patchwork of leftover bits. The floor has a full width seam across the middle, sealed with tape but totally unnecessary- why would you cut the floor in half and see it back together? Just make it one piece and it won't have a fail-point. I think they got to the end of the roll of fabric and just cobbled the last piece into a full floor with a random seam which will someday wear out. This tent exists in the ultralight category but it's actually just an excuse to use ultra weak and cheap plastics and zippers to pass off a cheap tent as a premium ultralight."

2.Review from Customer "RIP TW UL3":

"I've owned this tent for approximately 4 years and have taken it on many backpacking trips. I love how lightweight and compact it is which is wonderful for backpacking. However, because there are no vents in the rain fly, on every single trip no matter what the weather is, the rain fly collects absurd amounts of condensation. I'm talking in cold weather, my partner and I can be sweating and sticky from humidity in the tent because it becomes so thick with condensation. We have just put up with it until now because it's so lightweight and compact. Additionally, I surprisingly never experienced more than light sprinkles in this tent until this past trip. The tent is designed in such a way that, due to the angle of the sidewalls, when the rain fly is opened for exiting or entering the tent, if it's raining outside, whatever gear you have in the tent anywhere near the door gets rained on. The number of times my sleeping bag, sleeping pad, clothes, etc. got wet this past trip was absurd. The tent doesn't leak from rain per say, but it doesn't need to because of the amount of condensation and the poor design allowing rain in any time the fly is opened in inclement weather. Time to find a new tent!"

3.Review from Customer "E":

"I have owned this tent for about 3 years with 45+ days in this tent. I love the size, weight, and easy set-up of this tent. Although I would not buy it again or recommend. The design requires 2 tent stakes for set-up of the tent and I have had issues getting it completely taught without folds/wrinkles in the tent floor. I used this tent for part of a field season doing science research in the desert and found the design did not handle well in the wind. It was hard to find the right placement for the tent stakes for the vestibules to minimize material shaking in the wind. The zippers on the fly often catch the fabric and have resulted in holes."

4.Review from Customer "Brie":

"Plenty of room for a double wide and a single pad. extra room at the feet for a bit of gear. I like the pockets and having 2 zips at the door is great. The two vestibules are roomy but a little awkward to get in and out of"

5.Review from Customer "Sebastian":

"I've owned this tent for 3 years and used it on multiple multi-day and multi-week trips across Alaska. I haven't sold it yet because it is so lightweight and the inside is designed very nicely - lots of pockets and comfortable for 2 people and a dog. I bought a footprint because the bottom is so thin. My main complaint about the tent is the fly design. It is very difficult to set the tent up so you 1) get enough ventilation to prevent condensation on the inside and 2) so the fly doesn't droop onto the main tent. I frequently wake up with wet feet with water that has soaked through my sleeping bag. After 3 years, I'm still troubleshooting how to set it up correctly in a variety of different backcountry campsites (forest/tundra/gravel). Mainly, I've almost doubled the amount of stakes I use, and added longer guylines especially on the lone, tiny connection point at the head of the tent. It would be really nice if the fly and main tent could use the same stake, but that has never resulted in a dry night. Lastly, I'm frustrated by the condensation problem because it seems so so easy for Big Agnes to solve - why not just add little flaps you can open to increase air flow? This was an expensive tent, and I'm constantly contemplating selling this. Wouldn't recommend to a friend."

6.Review from Customer "Brookie":

"I use this tent for personal use, It's kept up amazing with Alaskas moody weather and has brought comfort to many adventures. I've recommended this tent to multiple friends and we all love big agnes quality, lightweight and durability."

7.Review from Customer "DW":

"I've used this tent for 2+ years now for both backpacking and Hunting in the backcountry. It's a palace when it's just me. It's great with two people plenty of space to keep our gear under the vestibule. Having two doors is so nice when you're sharing a tent. I got caught in a storm that lasted 2 days with a light consistent drizzle and the tent stayed dry. The floors is super thin- so you have play it safe where you set it up but I've got over 20 nights in the tent and there's only 2 tiny holes i've patched up with some tape. I'm surprised at how it still stays dry given the fabric is so thin. Condensation is manageable- there's little to none on the inside of the tent but the vestibule will be wet on both the inside and outside by morning. Just make sure none of your gear is touching and you'll be fine. The only reason for the "4" is the zippers. They get stuck a little on the vestibule. inconvenient sometimes, but not too bad. I own multiple light weight tents from teepee style tents to other freestanding tents and when weight matters- and I don't need a stove for winter camping this one is my first choice."

8.Review from Customer "ALW357":

"I purchased the tent for a 10 night 11 day backpacking trip to Philmont Scout Ranch. The tent performed flawlessly. We used it for a two man tent. There was plenty of room for me and another grown male both with wide pads. We did have several nights of wind and one night of rain. The tent held up very well."

9.Review from Customer "Backpacker Ben":

"It took TEN YEARS for me to finally be ready to upgrade my first Big Agnes tent, the Fly Creek UL2, and it wasn't because the first tent degraded, it was because my family grew and we needed more space! From bike packing across the US, to the Appalachian Trail, to countless backpacking trips along the way, these tents are the best. The Tiger Wall UL3 Solution Dye has major upgrades that I'm absolutely loving, from two side doors (vs the single door of the Fly Creek), to the integrated lighting system. My wife and I are obsessed. We set it up in our living room and camped in it as soon as it arrived, and have since taken it to the great outdoors a few times. It's light, it's sturdy, it's easy to set up, and it gives us ample space to chill on rainy days or to stretch out on tired nights."

10.Review from Customer "KatieP1010":

"I bought this for my daughters first backpacking trip. Three of us were able to fit, snugly but comfortably. I also use it for rafting. Two inflatable "river" pads fit perfectly! Super easy to set up and has just the right amount of extras. Pockets in all four corners and loops to hang things on. I've stayed dry in heavy rains as well. Would definitely recommend!"

Conclusion:

In summary, the Big Agnes Tiger Wall UL3 has garnered a multitude of positive reviews from satisfied customers, showcasing its impressive features and performance in various conditions. Users frequently commend its durability and weather resistance, solidifying its status as an ultimate backpacking companion. As you consider your next outdoor adventure, the Big Agnes Tiger Wall UL3 stands out as a premier option.
