"We used this for 3 days, 2 nights in the backcountry (Canyonlands Needles District) in 3/2024. Two medium-sized, one small adult were comfortable. Would not sleep 4 large people comfortably. Full featured and rugged for its weight. Got us through unexpectedly harsh conditions (30 mph wind gusts, heavy rain, blowing wet snow) with great isolation from outside conditions. We stayed dry and draft-free. Packs stayed almost completely dry under good -sized vestibules. Have not used in warm weather, but in these conditions felt well ventilated and free of condensation. As a freestanding style tent, set up was straightforward; could do with one person but easier with 2 or more. I bought 4 extra stakes so that I could use all guylines. At one of our sites, we were on slickrock and needed to use paracord and stones. Important to stake out carefully to get it to perform; we were initially a little sloppy and the fly flapped a bit until we did it properly. We did use the Big Agnes groundcloth for extra protection. Tent floor is thin, seems like good protection for an expensive tent and isn’t too heavy, just kind of expensive. Can use homemade Tyvek sheet almost for free."

"I got this tent when my wife and I started our 2 kids (+dog) backpacking. I wanted something that was light enough for me to carry by myself, but large enough to fit the whole family. This was one of the few tents that fit the bill. It's worth paying the premium for a tent of this quality and weight. Our most typical hikes involve 1 or 2 adults, 2 kids (now aged 12 and 14) and a 100lbs dog. There is plenty of room for all of us in the tent, ans space in the two awnings for backpacks. We each have an internal pocket for head torches and electronics. After some use, the shock cording on the poles became slack. I have fixed tent poles before, but figured I would return these poles to the Big Agnes support center, and they fixed it (for free!) in less than a week. All in all, the customer service experience has made more even more loyal to Big Agnes - clearly they stand behind their products."
