1.Review from Customer "theLKG":

"I've had this Homestead Super Dome 4-Person Tent since 2019. It's baller in any type of situation (unless you're doing ultralight hiking but you'd know better anyways). It has survived many expedition rafting trips, including a 21-day stint in the Grand Canyon, car camping, and backyard fun. Pouring torrential rain for hours, dry inside. 40+ mph wind, no problem (with enough guy lines). I've put it to the test, and I'd buy this tent again in a heartbeat. I've considered buying a second as a backup just because it's that great. Usually sleep with 2 people, paco pads/queen size, additional bags, etc. It's amazing to be able to stand up to get ready and the many doors mean if you need to get up there's no crawling over anyone or anything. There are some great extra features like pockets, lines to hang things, and the ability to hook up some luci string lights to illuminate the entire tent."

2.Review from Customer "Charles B.":

"Wow! I'm glad I ordered this tent and footprint last month! Dad often said, "When you find something good, buy a half dozen as they'll quit making it." I could not find this on The North Face site, and the footprint for this tent is not listed as an accessory here, either. It must be good, and I'll find out later in 2023, camping in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Those are the plans anyway, but life happens as soon as you plan. It looked good when I pulled it out of the shipping carton, and it's still resting in its plastic bag for space and dry weather to practice setting it up. North Face has been considered to be the higher end of tents and other gear, so I'm certain quality is still as good as it was in the '80s (when we'd could only afford to look at it)."

3.Review from Customer "matt":

"I was very sceptical of buying what looked like a "monstrous" tent at first, but I took a chance and am super happy I did. My girlfriend and I have a queen size air mattress that fit in our old tent. We've used both for years but were tired of crawling over each other in the night and barely having enough room to sit up. This tent changed everything. We first set it up in the dark with headlamps - easy to set up with colour coded system. We have room to walk around and change inside the tent. We were able to bring multiple bags inside the tent and still had room. There's a built in clothing line - amazing. Our inaugural voyage with this tent was for 4 nights of camping and it rained on two of them - not a drop of water inside. I probably have more to say, but I'll stop there. It's a quality North Face product that met and exceeded our expectations. Car camping for two (and probably your little ones, or fluffy friend) has been raised a notch. And the colour and pattern are fantastic!"

4.Review from Customer "David":

"Haven't used it yet in the wild but pitching was much simpler than I thought. Packs down small and easily fits back into the provided bag. I wish it came with the footprint which costs over $50. Size is perfect for two and a kid or dog. Am able to fully stand in the tent at 5'10."

6.Review from Customer "Tim & Katelyn":

"We purchased the Homestead Super Dome for the headspace & easy setup. 100% what we got! Love the multi-door options as our stuff is easily accessible without having to go in and out all the time. The pockets all around the tent made it easy to keep frequently used items available, and there was plenty of space four our double sleeping bag along with our clothes and other items. The only downside is that it did collect condensation during the night. We were using it in the mountains in the fall. 30* nights and 50* days."

7.Review from Customer "Batigoje":

"Instruction missing steps, straps need to be adjusted depending on terrain not noted in manual however when you get the hang of this tent, lots of room nice view but I almost ripped it on the first set up; had to run around the tent adjusting everything. I love the two smaller doors, when I have friends sleep over I won't have to walk over them to exit the tent. Clothes lines very sturdy, I hang my speaker from there it's perfect. The design is simply beautiful purchased it because of its looks and panoramic roof was not deceived will definitely keep."

8.Review from Customer "Lynn":

"I loved the product when first received it, totally 5-star worthy. It's got a great design, lots of room inside. Big enough to fit my family of 3 (incl. my 4-yr old) and our queen size mattress. Because of COVID, all the parks/campsites were closed and recently got reopened. So we haven't got a chance to use it in the wild. We only pitched it in our garage. HOWEVER, this is where it turned into a 2-star. When I was packing it back into the duffle bag, I found a tiny hole on the bottom. See picture. This is very...disappointing, but glad I see it before we do go camping in August...Can't imagine using it when it starts to rain outside."

9.Review from Customer "Richard":

"What a great tent. Very roomy with lots of head room. Even with a queen sized inflatable, there was still lots of room on either side, along with a convenient door. Lots of ventilation, stylish design, easy setup (first attempt with wife took about ten minutes, second time I was lone and had it up in about the same time. Without the fly you've got a great star gazing experience, and if needed the fly goes on in just a matter of minutes. I only have three complaints which aren't too serious. 1. No footprint, yet. Hoping TNF rectifies this. 2. Window coverings are opened and shut from the outside. They can still be accessed from inside by opening the doors obviously. 3. Included tent stakes are laughable and of no use unless setting up in the backyard. Bottom line: this tent makes camping more fun."

10.Review from Customer "Devon":

"Nice tent! It rained heavily the majority of our 3 day camping trip to Ricketts Glenn and the inside was completely dry. It was a fairly cool weekend so I'd be interested to see how hot and humid the tent will get on warmer trips. The print is so attractive (cactus print) and I recieved a ton of compliments. Easy to assemble and roomy inside. I'm not sure 4 adults would be comfortable in it however. I put a full size inflatable mattress in it and had little room to move around."

Conclusion:

In conclusion, The North Face Homestead Super Dome 4 stands out as a top contender in the realm of family-sized tents. With its ample space, thoughtful design, and reliable construction, The North Face Homestead Super Dome 4 offers an ultimate solution for those seeking a blend of comfort and practicality in their camping gear. While it may have a few areas for improvement, the overall performance and versatility of The North Face Homestead Super Dome 4 make it a valuable choice for outdoor enthusiasts. If you’re in the market for a tent that delivers on both space and durability, The North Face Homestead Super Dome 4 deserves serious consideration for your next adventure.
