1.Review from Customer "Michael H":
"I have used a jet boil in -30 in the long nights of Alaska and the 120 degrees of Afghanistan. It is an incredibly reliable and durable product. As advertised it boils water quickly and efficiently. I’ve never gone camping or to the field without it. This item is a must have for beginners or experts. If you like coffee their French press attachment is excellent as well. If I have extra time I bring a grinder and aeropress. Either way it is an easy to clean, easy to maintain, durable essential for any kit, recreational or professional."
2.Review from Customer "Quentin A":
"Hot shave in a hasty bivouac? Did your battle buddy pack some ramen or coffee instead of his skivies? Did doc fail the water quality test on the water buffalo? Have I got the solution for you! JetBoil that sh!t! The sumo can hold the burner, stand and a fuel canister inside itself so low space taken up in the ruck. Maybe don’t use it inside your tent though. Turn that Fex into a party, bring a Jetboil."
3.Review from Customer "Cory S":
"A bit heavy and bulky compared with many other backpacking stoves, but if you don't mind humping am extra pound or two, it can't be beat. Boils water incredibly fast, very fuel efficient. Everything stores inside the pot, which is nice. Was able to carry one in my pack, and boil enough water to reconstitute meals for my family of 4 in a few minutes. After a week in the bush, still had enough fuel left in the tank for a weekend trip."
4.Review from Customer "Christopher K":
"Let me start by saying I have been using Jetboil Products since before they hit the retail floor- I had a shop demo PCS in my store before they shipped their first retail units. Since then, I have owned the PCS, 1.5L pot, a Flash, 2 Genesises, a Luna side Burner, a Sumo, and a Minimo. I have also used or owned everything from a Svea 123 to an XGK to catfood stoves. Been there, done that. If what you want is to boil water for 3-4 people quickly and efficiently in a 3 season setting- look no further. I also use it on car camping trips with the french press attachment as the group coffee maker either with a Luna Side Burner on my Genesis or on it's own."
5.Review from Customer "Jason K":
"Works great. Purchased this to use while camping with my sons Scout Troop. Boils water quickly, easy to clean, light weight. This is a big cup it is tight when trying to fit in a backpack, but it was what I was expecting. All the parts fit easily inside to keep everything together."
6.Review from Customer "Peter":
"I had already a ZIP jetfoil, which has about a 500ml capacity for boiling. This was fine for using freeze dry foods. However some meals need a bit more cooking time. Returning it to the pot meant very quickly burning it to the bottom because the Zip boils brilliantly but cannot simmer very well.
I also realised I needed a bigger pot to cook other foods. Discussed this with Snowys staff who readily understood my dilemma. They suggested the Sumo, which has a brilliant simmer control, which allows me to lower the flame and maintain whilst i continue to cook. (my test to date has been in non wind situations) Obviously need to keep stirring.
The larger pot does and its simmer control does allow other forms of cooking, eg with 'oven bag' cooking in a water bath.
I use a 45 litre pack, so size and impact on space is also important. However this pot can stow normal gas canisters and by carefully packing the pot with other items. Boil times and gas use is very good. Great product."
7.Review from Customer "Kelley C":
"This jetboil functions exactly like advertised. It is perfect......if youre cooking for 5. Most of the meals I use this for calls for 12 oz.of water to be boiled. The cup holds a lot more than that so I would like a smaller cup in exchange for the lighter weight. That being said, it worked exactly as expected."
8.Review from Customer "Joseph P":
"I recently purchased 2 Sumo Jet Boils, I tried mine 3 times at home at home to get familiar with the product, it worked just fine. I took it on a fishing trip to heat lunch up on my boat, my wife thought it was a neat idea until the heat shield caught fire and completely melted around the cooker. A small piece of melting plastic landed on the floor of my boat, just a small burn mark."
9.Review from Customer "Renegade":
"My first Jetboil Flash worked for almost 7 years. And for that I am grateful to him, from this construction only the burner failed. And that arson broke down almost immediately, but the year still lived for sure. But that's not the point. Thanks to this system, I will save a lot of gas, nerves and never turned my pot. I hesitated for a long time what to replace it with and now I have sumo in fact I still have a bowl from an old Jetboil and this big bowl for making soup. Well, the countdown is gone, I wonder how long this system will work .... but you are in my heart forever."
10.Review from Customer "ClayF":
"While on a recent assignment to the wildfires in CA our crew of firefighters utilized this stove to brew coffee each morning before briefing. Three days ago, while boiling water the jet boil caught on fire. The shut off valve would not stop the flames. The propane was under pressure and had to be extinguished prior to removal of the fuel. When the burner assembly was removed it was found that when the valve was opened to ignite the burner, the bushing that the valve goes into, had loosened and allowed gas to leak out. The cup and burner both had to be discarded as they were unusable. Please use caution if you already own this product and if you do not yet own it, consider other options before."
