"Good balance of size and weight for a backpacking stove. On-board igniter worked pretty well, though there were a few times I would have to push it 3-4x to ignite the stove. Advertised boil times are accurate in my experience. This pot is perfect size to boil water for coffee or to rehydrate freeze-dried backpacking meals for two people. The only thing I don’t like about it is that sometimes it’s difficult to unlock/separate the pot from the stove. It’s definitely not the lightest option on the market, and it’s also a fair bit more expensive than other stove options that have built in igniters with simmer control, but if you can find it on sale then it is a good value. Overall, I am happy with the purchase."

"I love my MiniMo. It’s still working great almost 9 years after purchase, and even though I once partially melted it (I got mine before the pot support was included, and now understand exactly why using the pot support really matters).
I chose to MiniMo as a beginner backpacker, because it was easy and got me on the trail. Years later, I still love it because I often cook while backpacking, and the MiniMo allows me to simmer and otherwise adjust temperatures as I cook. "I was looking to maybe lighten up my pack this summer and the only item really in question was my cook kit. Was looking at Soto Windmaster with a titanium pot to cut down on some ounces but not ability. Just to see what this MiniMo could do I went outside to do a test to see how much fuel it uses up for a typical dehydrated meal water boil. I boiled 1.5 cups with an outside temp of 40 degrees F with a slight wind. It used 4 g of fuel (0.14 oz). That's absurd. Depending on the length of the trip if another stove isn't nearly this efficient any weight gains from a lighter cook kit may be offset by the need to carry more fuel depending on how much you use it. The other factor I am taking into consideration for my personal comparison to keep this over getting something like the Windmaster is that I feel much safer using this in the vestibule of my tent if it is raining as the flame is more contained while the Soto and a Toaks pot will have the flame pushed out around the pot which just worries me with the flame able to be somewhat closer to the tent material. Finally, I can fit a small fuel canister, the heating element, and a Sea to Summit X-Mug in it using a rubber band strap thing to keep it all closed up because it pushes on the lid a bit."

"Easy to set up and use. However, with high winds the flame did go out a few time. Temperature control is nice to have. Packs away well enough, with a minor looseness of top when you have a fuel canister with it. At full tilt it bowls extremely quickly, so don’t walk away to pack things away. It’s nice to be able to make coffee or a bowl of oatmeal right in the pot. Haven’t had much need for the adjustable temp control, but it could come in handy for some."

"Love this thing. Used it on a trip to Flagpole Knob in the VA section of Appalachia. The temp was 35 and the wind was brutal. This little thing lit like a jet on the first strike and boiled water for my coffee and dinner quick. Haven't used the pan but no reason it would be the same. It may not have been able to cook as much at one time as the other guys' Blackstone's or Colemans but then again, you can't cook if you cant start or keep it going.
